The Metropolitan Business & Citizens Association (MBCA) announces that student scholarship and outstanding educator applications are now available online, click here.
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,500. The number of awards is determined by the amount of funds available within the scholarship foundation. Criteria include: student be a resident of the greater Atlantic City region; accepted or returning to a higher education institution; and working towards a degree. Additional information pertaining to the award can be found on the application.
MBCA also recognizes an area educator for their outstanding contributions to education. The Outstanding Teacher Recognition Award, in the amount of a $1,500 grant, will be presented during the annual luncheon. The grant is for the purpose of obtaining supplies, equipment or purchasing student incentives related to his/her teaching. This award goes to an individual who is making a difference in the development of his/her students by being a positive role model, demonstrating resourcefulness, and utilizing innovating teaching techniques.

The MBCA holds its Annual Scholarship Foundation Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 12 Noon, at Tropicana Casino/Hotel Resort. The keynote speaker is Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields.
